Veteran Canadian singer-songwriter Bryan Adams, who was in India as part of his The Ultimate Tour, on Saturday, met music maestro AR Rahman. The 58-year-old singer met AR Rahman and his son for lunch post the Mumbai concert.

The Canadian singer-songwriter performed at Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla complex on Friday night, where he enthralled the audience with his chartbuster singles such as “Summer of 69”, “Run to you” and “Everything I do”. The concerts are lined up in support of his 21-track album, ‘Ultimate’, which released in November last year. The Ultimate Tour is brought to the country by ENIL. The tour kick-started in Ahmedabad on October 9 and wrapped up in New Delhi on Sunday.  This is Bryan Adams’ fifth visit to India. He has performed in 1995, 2001, 2003 and 2011 before.

Bryan Adams and AR Rahman apparently exchanged some notes on music and even spoke about collaborating in the future. Reportedly, Bryan who is a vegan made sure his chef cooked a special vegan meal for Rahman and his son AR Ameen when they met.

According to reports, the Canadian artist is very particular when it comes to his diet. He is a strict vegan, and even during his concert, there was no non-vegetarian food served even backstage in Mumbai. His chef accompanies him where ever he goes, whether, on tours or holidays, he even accompanied Bryan to India. Reportedly, AR Rahman recommended idli sambar to the international singer and the latter has agreed to try it very soon. 

The celebrated singer was in India for a week during which he performed in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi. He also took yoga classes for as long as he stayed. He even took to Twitter to write about meeting up with the legendary AR Rahman. He wrote, 'Hanging out with the amazing @arrahman today in Mumbai. What a musician! #indianmusic #indiancomposer #oscarwinner #filmcomposer'
