'When PM himself appreciates you for making films on Police Force' says Rohit Shetty as he shares picture with the Prime Minister

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with the film fraternity on Thursday, January 10, filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared a picture with the honourable PM.

Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with the film fraternity on Thursday, January 10, filmmaker Rohit Shetty shared a picture with the honourable PM. The filmmaker who seems to have been thrilled by the meeting revealed that the Prime Minister himself appreciated him for making films on the Police Force.

He shared a picture where he and Prime Minister Narendra Modi can be seen standing beside each other. In the post, he wrote, "Quite a cool feeling when the Prime Minister himself appreciates you for making films on the Police Force.@narendramodi"

The meeting was attended by several young stars of the Hindi film industry including Ekta Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Rohit Shetty, Ayushmann Khurrana, Siddharth Malhotra, Rajkummar Rao, and Bhumi Pednekar. Filmmaker Karan Johar also joined the team. 

Rohit Shetty is known for directing action films which are mostly based on Police Force. His recent film 'Simmba' featured Ranveer Singh as a Police officer. The director has previously helmed the 'Singham' franchise that was widely lauded by the audience. 

Earlier on the day, he shared an epic selfie which featured the film fraternity with the Prime Minister. He captioned the picture saying, "The Prime Minister’s Squad."

As per media reports, the meeting was called by the honourable Prime Minister as he wanted to meet the young stars of the Hindi film industry and discuss what they think about India as an evolving country. Reportedly, they also discussed how they think their films are impacting the Indian culture. The celebrities who left for the hour-long meeting in Delhi were seen all decked up in formal attire.
