If destiny had other plans, we wouldn’t have seen Sara Ali Khan impressing with her acting chops in ‘Simmba’ and ‘Kedarnath.’ The actress shared that she got distracted briefly from her true calling of joining the film industry because she was ‘fat’ and ‘nerdy’, while harbouring ambitions to become a doctor and studying History and Political Science.
During a recent event in Singapore, the 25-year-old revealed that she had planned to study medicine till the tenth grade. However, she realised that she won’t be able to perform surgery due to a mild tremor problem. Sara then decided to do law and studied History and Political Science. However, in the last year she did an acting course, and the actress stated that the rush of performing on the stage is something she never felt before.
The youngster shared that acting was always a dream for her, but she got ‘distracted’ as she was ‘really fat’ and ‘very nerdy’, a combination because of which she felt she ‘shouldn’t be acting.’ The star kid said that was the reason she used to keep studying. Even her mother, actress Amrita Singh used to ‘confiscate’ her books as she felt it was not normal to study so much.
Nevertheless, Sara has taken a grand start in the film industry with both her films releasing in December turning out to be successes. The actress is yet to announce her next film though there are reports of her signing ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’ opposite Kartik Aaryan and 'Coolie No 1' opposite Varun Dhawan.
