Why have Salman Khan-Deepika Padukone never paired up with each other on screen? The ‘Dabangg’ star reveals

From giving a break to actresses like Sonakshi Sinha and Katrina Kaif to working with experienced A-listers like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas,  Sonam K Ahuja, Anushka Sharma and others, Salman Khan has had an interesting line-up of pairing with actresses over the years. However, the actor till today has never paired with Deepika Padukone on the big screen, though their names reportedly were often considered by filmmakers for various films. The ‘Dabanngg’ star now reveals that he too has wondered why the collaboration never happened, but called Deepika a ‘big star’ and that something worthwhile has to be there for it to work out.

According to reports, in a recent interview, Salman was asked about Deepika still missing from the list of actresses he has worked with. The 53-year-old replied that even he has thought why the pairing hasn’t taken place yet.

He then revealed that no filmmaker till date has approached him for a movie with the actress. The ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’ star then called Deepika a ‘big star’ and added that there should be something ‘worth her while’ for things to work out. 

Salman also stated that, at the moment, there was no project in the pipeline with Deepika whethe collaboration since his leading ladies of his upcoming films have been finalised. He said Katrina would be his heroine in ‘Bharat’ and third installment of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Sonakshi would be in ‘Dabangg 3’ and Jacqueline Fernandez in ‘Kick 2’. However, the actor, said if ‘something comes up’, he might work with the ‘Padmaavat’ star.

Salman and Deepika have often bonded well on  'Bigg Boss', when the actress' movies have been up for release and fans of the pair would hope the pairing soon happens.
