Adding yet another stand-out moment in what has been a glittering career, Shah Rukh Khan has been interviewed by US late-night talk-show legend David Letterman for his Netflix show 'My Next Guest Needs No Introduction', and the social media post that King Khan has shared has made his excitement abundantly clear.

Taking to Twitter, Shah Rukh Khan has shown no small measure of versatility by firing some comedy back Letterman's way, calling his post-'retirement' bearded look 'The Abominable Snowman'.

Not stopping there, SRK has also gone on to hail his interviewer by equating him to a superhero by saying that before Batman and Spiderman, there was Letterman.

He has thanked Letterman for letting him be himself:

Netflix India also posted about the interview, putting forth that something epic is coming soon.

The boast by Netflix could not be more accurate as the interview sees the surprise coming together of two of the biggest names in their respective industries. Shah Rukh Khan isn't the Badshah of Bollywood for no reason while at the time of Letterman hanging up his Late-Show mic, he had hosted over 6000 episodes, interviewing just about every big name out there from the realm of US politics, Hollywood, music, business and then also some not so big names including on his pre-viral segments such as one where he would bring odd pets and onto his Ed Sullivan Theatre stage.

To get a sense of just how big a deal this is, one need only look at list of names Letterman interviewed in his current show - the one SRK will be on - which begins with former US President Barack Obama and also contains the likes of Malala Yousafzai, Tina Fey and being interviewed by fellow comedy legend Jerry Seinfeld. Letterman also interviewed PM Narendra Modi before he took up his latest project in a series geared towards tackling environmental degradation called 'Years of Living Dangerously'.

The date of the interview hasn't yet been announced.
