'World Is Ready For An Indian Superhero': Deepika Padukone Shows Interest In Joining Marvel's 'Avengers' Franchise

  • In a recent interview, the actress reportedly revealed that she is all willing to play a superhero for the franchise, however, she has one condition, she wants to play a superhero who originates from India. 

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone recently revealed that she is interested to be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, to be specific, the 'Avengers' franchise. In a recent interview, the actress reportedly revealed that she is all willing to play a superhero for the franchise, however, she has one condition, she wants to play a superhero who originates from India.

The actress statement has raised the expectations of the Indian Marvel fans who are looking forward to some exciting possibilities. In fact, recently, Deepika posed with 'Avengers: Endgame' actress Scarlett Johansson aka Black Widow for the cover of a global fashion magazine.

"Thrilled to share with you my cover for @voguemagazine's April issue celebrating this talented group of women from across the globe!" she said in a statement.

The fourth and final venture of the Avengers franchise, 'Avengers: Endgame' is soon to hit the theaters. The flick brings together all the Marvel superheroes, played by actors including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Don Cheadle, Tom Holland, Chadwick Boseman, Paul Bettany, Elizabeth Olsen, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Dave Bautista, Zoe Saldana, Josh Brolin, Chris Pratt, Jeremy Renner, Evangeline Lilly, Jon Favreau, and Paul Rudd. In fact, Oscar-winning actress Brie Larson who debut in MCU as Captain Marvel recently will also be a part of the film. 

Meanwhile, on the work front, the 33-year-old actress is all set to star in Meghna Gulzar's upcoming directorial 'Chappak' which also stars Vikrant Massey. The biopic tells the story of acid attack survivor Lakshmi, and the Bollywood diva is currently shooting for the same. Moreover, Deepika is turning producer with the film which is yet to get a release date.
