Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt's much-anticipated venture 'Gully Boy' premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival on Saturday, February 9, and seems like not only Indian fans but the international audience is also impressed by the rap-drama. The initial reviews of the film gave a huge thumbs up to the upcoming venture and praised the actors for their extraordinary performance. While many on social media reviewed the film praising Ranveer for his versatility, a lot of them marked it as his career-best performance.
Now, joining the bandwagon is the director of the Toronto International Film Festival, Cameron Bailey, who reviewed the film recently on social media and said that he has never seen such a response to a film in his 20 years at the Berlinale. Sharing a picture with Ranveer from the festival on Twitter, he wrote, "Watched the GULLY BOY world premiere tonight in a packed house with @RanveerOfficial, @aliaa08 & @ZoyaAkhtarOff present. Biggest cheers I’ve heard in 20+ years at the Berlinale."

The 'Gully Boy' fever has taken the internet by storm as the fans can't stop gushing over Ranveer Singh's newly discovered rapping skills. The actor who aced the role of a street rapper in the upcoming venture was seen carrying his 'desi swag' even at the international film festival where he performed the title track of the film 'Apna Time Aayega' in front of the live audience. Pictures and videos from the event surfaced on the internet where an entire stadium can be seen cheering for the Indian actor.

Directed by Zoya Akhtar, 'Gully Boy' tells the story of an aspiring rapper. However, since success comes easy for none, the boy who is from a humble beginning has to struggle his way up to the heights of fame.
The film has already raised the expectations of the audience with its rap-packed trailer and a splendid performance of the lead pair in the preview. Ranveer was seen acing the rapping skills all through the teaser, trailer and the tracks of the film. Alia will take up the role of his love interest in the upcoming venture. It will be co-produced by Zoya Akhtar's Tiger Baby and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment productions. 'Gully Boy' is all set to hit the big screens on February 14, 2019.
