'You Have Made The Country Proud': The Kings Winning 'World Of Dance' Gets B-Town Raving; Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Madhuri Dixit, Anupam Kher Exult

In one of the proudest moments for India, the dance group The Kings have beaten all and sundry to lift the trophy of the popular American TV show ‘World of Dance’. The achievement didn't go unnoticed by the celebrities of the film industry and many praised the team on Twitter. Amitabh Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Varun Dhawan, Vicky Kaushal, Anupam Kher, Vishal Dadlani, Shobha De were among those who conveyed their delight and congratulations to the winners.

Amitabh Bachchan sent out an extended version of his trademark reaction, ‘Badumba’ as he wrote ‘buck up India’ and emoticons galore.

Anupam Kher expressed his pride, “Jai Ho. Jai Hind.” 

Varun is closely associated with the sensational troupe as his movie ‘Any Body Can Dance: ABCD 2’ was reportedly based on them after they won ‘India’s Got Talent’. Calling it a ‘matter of pride’, he wrote that he has seen the hard work they put in and that The Kings are always 'world champions' for him. 

Vicky Kaushal also posted about the group on Instagram stories, lauding their passion, hard work and perseverance as they made the country proud.

One of the interesting moments of the finale was how they achieved the perfect score and five consecutive standing ovations and Vishal Dadlani pointed it to out to call it ‘unreal.’ 

Madhuri Dixit Nene, known as the queen of dance and also a reality show judge, congratulated The Kings for showcasing the essence of the Indian dance internationally. Calling them ‘brilliant’, the actress singled out their slow motion action as ‘breathtaking.’ The actress concluded, “So proud of you guys.” 

Shobhaa De too raved about The Kings.

For their final performance, the group dressed as gladiators and presented a powerful act, full of death-defying stunts and well-choreographed and coordinated moves.

They impressed the judges with their performance and scored a perfect 100 to win the competition which comes with a prize money of USD 1 million. 

Their performances left the judges Jennifer Lopez, Ne-Yo, and Derek Hough awestruck.
