Farah Khan went back in time on ‘Throwback Thursday’ to share the moment she was felicitated with her only National Award.
The ‘Main Hoon Na’ director shared a picture of her receiving the honour on the stage from her ‘favourite President’ APJ Abdul Kalam. She had got the award for choreographing the song ‘Idhar Chala Main Udhar Chala’ from the movie ‘Koi Mil Gaya’. Revealing that she found the photograph while cleaning the drawers, Farah thanked the lead actor Hrithik Roshan for dancing so well.
While Hrithik Roshan is yet to respond, Raveena Tandon replied how ‘lucky’ Farah was since the actress was a big fan of the former President, but never got the chance to meet him. Raveena also shared that she cried when he passed away. Farah responded how she might have been the only one to have jumped and given Kalam a hug and said that was the reason he was blushing in the picture.
There were many who congratulated the director-choreographer and called it a proud moment. Some shared their own feelings about the much-loved President and some quipped how it looked like she was handing Kalam the honour.
However, a section of her followers was surprised. They wrote how the National Award is such a big honour which should be framed and kept in the house and not one to be found in the drawers. Here are some of the comments.
On the professional front, Farah recently choreographed the songs in 'Housefull 4'. The movie featuring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Bobby Deol, Kriti Kharbanda and Pooja Hegde, releases on Diwali next year.
