'You've To Teach Your Young Girls And Boys There'll Be Somebody Who Might Want To Exploit You' Pooja Bhatt On Alleged Sexual Harassment Allegations Against Vikas Bahl

Actress Pooja Bhatt took a strong stand against sexual exploitation and said that parents and guardians should warn their children that someone might try to exploit them and they should stand up to that and also for others who're getting exploited.

Bollywood actress Pooja Bhatt commented on alleged sexual harassment allegations against director Vikas Bahl. The 'Queen' director had allegedly harassed a crew member before the release of 'Bombay Velvet'. The sexual assault survivor, in a media interview on October 6, revealed what exactly had happened. Giving out the horrifying details of the incident the girl accused Vikas Bahl of harassing her in a hotel room in 2015.  

Recently, when Actress Pooja Bhatt was asked to comment on the same, the 46-year-old took a strong stand against sexual exploitation and said that parents and guardians should warn their children that someone might try to exploit them and they should stand up to that and also for others who're getting exploited. 

Pooja Bhatt in a statement to ANI said, "You've to teach your young girls & boys there'll be somebody who might want to exploit you, you've to stand up to that and also for others who're getting exploited. Don't dismiss someone raising their voice."

Here's what had happened:

The girl who came out in the open to talk about the incident that took place three years ago revealed to an online portal in an interview before the release of the film 'Bombay Velvet', the cast and crew had gathered together for a party. Post the party, Bahl offered to drop her to the room since she was physically injured and was down with a few drinks. As they reached the room, she said goodbye to Vikas and rushed to the washroom and soon after she got out, she found him lying on the footrest of her bed. She then allegedly asked him to leave, repeatedly, to which he did not agree. However, being on the verge of passing out, she gathered some strength and put some pillows to create a divider. But as soon as she lied down, in a few seconds, Bahl put his hand inside her dress, while the woman resisted several times. She said that he then dropped his pants and started masturbating onto her back because her back was towards him, and then left the room.

Kangana Ranaut supported the claims made by the woman and speaks against Vikas Bahl

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut, who has worked with Vikas Bahl for one of her most celebrated films 'Queen' also supported the claims made by the woman. She said that on the sets of the 2014 film, he would "hold her really tight" and would "smell her hair. Kangana further stated that she even lost out on a few projects after she had decided to stand by the girl who accused Vikas Bahl. Reportedly, Vikas Bahl had been accused of alleged sexual harassment in the past but had denied it in 2017.
