'Dangal' fame Zaira Wasim's decision to quit Bollywood citing religion has met with surprise and remorse by people from different walks of life.

Some have welcomed the decision, while others felt that she should not have given a religious connotation to her decision.

But one person who was caught unaware (according to the reports) by this news was Zaira's manager Tuhin Mishra, based in Delhi. The reports quoted Tuhin saying that the news of Zaira Wasim quitting Bollywood was incorrect and her accounts have been hacked.

Republic TV got in touch with Tuhin and asked him the truth behind his controversial statements.

Tuhin clarified: "I've been misquoted. No one has hacked. The reports are untrue. If she has said that she wants to do something, she sure has a reason behind it."

On further being asked if Zaira was pressurised by any religious groups, Tuhin said: "Pressure from whom? Not true at all. We should not get into assumptions. Zaira is in a certain state of mind. She is at her home in Kashmir and needs time. We should respect her space. She will come out with an official statement soon"
