Shah Rukh Khan's 'Zero' is the next big film that everyone has their eyes on after '2.0'. A petition was filed against the makers of the film and SRK for hurting Sikh sentiments, due to a particular poster, where the actor's character Bauua Singh can be seen holding what looks like a kirpan. According to reports, the petition also demands CBFC that it should not grant certification to the Aanand L Rai directorial. However, the makers of the film have their defense ready.

Narvose Serwani, senior counsel who appeared for King Khan, clarified in court that the object the actor is holding in the poster is not a kirpan, but is instead a normal sword. When the court asked CBFC representative whether the film has been certified, they replied in the negative. The representative also clarified that the poster which created the controversy was not a part of the trailer that was submitted to them.

At this point, the High court has asked the CBFC to look into the matter and put matters on hold till then. The next hearing for the case has been given as December 18. Looks like the woes for Zero is far from over at the moment. Also, this is not the first time that this controversy has been stirred up.

An MLA, Mr. Sirsa had filed a complaint initially on the same, stating that it hurt Sikh sentiments. When the team of 'Zero' clarified to the politician in a letter though, he accepted it and let the matter drop. However, it seems that not everyone was satisfied with the justification on the matter.

Meanwhile, one song from the film has come out titled 'Mere Naam Tu', which has become a runaway success. Also starring Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif, the film is all set to release on December 21.
