Two weeks ahead of the release of the culmination to the current iteration of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Avengers: Endgame - the sense of an ending appears to have enveloped members of the films' cast.
Mark Ruffalo, the actor who has played The Hulk since 2012's The Avengers, has shared a candid picture of two everpresents in the series, Scarlett Johansson and Chris Evans, from their time on the sets filming Endgame.
The picture is of the two stars sitting on a couch and playing on their Nintendo Gameboys - the handheld video gaming sensation of the mid-1990s. The actors who play Captain America and the Black Widow clearly aren't left wanting for accessories for the vintage gaming system (it's not exactly Stark tech) - they've got the connector cable that enables them to pair their two Gameboys and play co-op or against each other.
Responding to the post, Chris Evans has retweeted it and also called it his new favourite picture:
Fans have reacted to it as well and some of them are quite perceptive:
One fan has highlighted a scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier in which the two are again dressed like they would be playing video games:
Another has spoken about how the picture makes for the perfect Nintendo advert:
There's a flashback from a time the pair were on screen together pre-Marvel:
There are also a few Captain America-Black Widow shippers (though it's probably fair to say that that ship has sailed)
Someone else wants to buy the Gameboys:
Avengers: Endgame releases on May 26.
