The much-anticipated second sequel of James Cameron's 'Avatar' finally gets a release date after 12 years. Director James Cameron in a recent post announced that the second out of four upcoming sequels to the film franchise will be finally releasing on December 17, 2021.
The official Twitter page of Avatar made the official announcement on Twitter and captioned it saying "Now scheduled to land on Pandora December 17, 2021."
Following the same, the director shared the post and wrote, "Busy on set, so no time to hang around but just dropping in to share the news — Sivako! @OfficialAvatar"

Fans are overwhelmed to have heard the news as they have been eagerly waiting for the same. However, they seem to be having a hard copping up with the delay.

'Avatar' which released in 2009 is the highest grossing film of all times with a collection of 2,788 US Dollars. Its sequel, which was expected to release five years back, has been pushed back till date and now following Disney's acquisition of 21st Century Fox, an official announcement from the organization said that the release dates for the upcoming instalments have been further pushed back. While 'Avatar 2' is scheduled for a 2021 release, the third, fourth and fifth film of the franchise will be releasing on December 22, 2023, December 19, 2025, and December 17, 2027, respectively.
