As per reports, another long-running Netflix show is facing the axe this time it is BoJack Horseman. Netflix has announced that the upcoming sixth season will be the last and will be on the streaming platform in two parts. The first part on October 25, and other on January 31, 2020, for which the trailer has been released. Netizens on microblogging website Twitter have reacted with shock and questions as to why the popular show has been shelved.

Netflix releases trailer

The trailer suggests that a lot has changed in the day-to-day life of BoJack and the people who surround him. The fictional horse sitcom star apparently shows BoJack finally getting his life back together, even as Princess Carolyn is struggling with single parenthood. Todd is seen learning the startling news about his mother and Mr Peanutbutter appears deeply bothered by something that is not explained. The trailer ends with BoJack driving off into the sunset.

Netflix has not reacted as to why the series is ending even as it has been abruptly signing off several shows in the recent month including Daredevil, Luke Cage etc. Reports say viewership can possibly play a role in cancellations even though there are certainly other factors to consider such as Netflix and showrunners not wanting to drag the show on for two long accompanied with rising costs of talent and a desire to develop new shows. BoJack was developed in Netflix's early days of original programming when the streaming service did not handle all distribution rights. The production company will syndicate the show through Comedy Central and international TV networks.
