With the release of 'Avengers: Endgame' round the corner, Marvel fans are finding it hard to hold their calm. Amidst the same, Chris Evans aka Captain America recently opened up about his favorite childhood superhero and surprisingly it's not a Marvel character. 'The first avenger' in a recent interview said that his favourite superhero was arch-rival DC's Batman.

The actor who is very much aware that his statement might land him in a soup, was a bit hesitated to put forward his answer, however, his admiration for the Dark Knight seemed to have overpowered his thoughts as he gave the answer.

"I wasn't that cool I was more into cartoons like Bugs Bunny and Looney Tunes, things like that. I'll say, Batman. I probably shouldn't say that it's DC, I'm gonna get in trouble. But those Michael Keaton movies, those were pretty big, so yeah I'll say Batman,"  PTI quoted him as saying.

Batman is one of the most iconic characters of the DC Universe. The self-made superhero is admired by many across the world and Chris Evans is no exception. The actor also revealed what his favourite scene as Captain America has been.

"I'm partial to that fight scene in the elevator (from 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier'). That was the first scene we shot in the second Captain America movie. It was my first time working with the Russos. It was the first time where it felt like Cap was kind of on his own. The first Cap movie, it felt like everyone was really holding my hand. And the first Avengers movie, I just did my best to not get in the way,"  the 37-year-old actor reportedly said in a statement.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, he will next be seen in 'Avengers: Endgame', where he will reprise his role as Cap. 'Avengers: Endgame' is going to be the fourth and final venture of the Avengers franchise.
