'Captain Marvel' First Look Released By Marvel Studios And Entertainment Weekly

The Marvel Studios in collaboration with the Entertainment Weekly has just revealed the first look of the upcoming superhero flick 'Captain Marvel'. As the lead actress, Brie Larson teased the release on Wednesday, September 5, as Marvel fans were eagerly waiting for the surprise to unveil. On Thursday, September 6, Entertainment Weekly finally released the exclusive first look of the superhero film in which Brie Larson is featured as the strongest superhero of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel.

A total of three pictures were released by Entertainment Weekly, in the first picture Brie Larson is seen rocking the 'Captain Marvel' suit, all dressed in red, blue and golden. The second picture shows her walking with elite military team Starforce, reportedly on the Kree planet of Hala, and the third picture features her with Jude Law, who is reportedly the commander of Starforce and is training Carol for a mission.

If you are thinking how Captain Marvel is connected to the Avengers, here's how it is- Captain Marvel, the Avengers newbie was introduced in the end-credits scene of 'Avengers: Infinity War'. Although she was physically not seen, it was just her logo that assured her appearance in the fourth Avengers sequel which is scheduled to release on May 3, 2019. Prior to that, the introductory film on Captain Marvel tells her original story which might eventually help the audience understand her powers and possessions better. As Entertainment Weekly reports, Captain Marvel, a part-Kree, part-human hero is an Air Force pilot with alien powers. Her human name is Carol Danvers. She is aware of her powers and has left her earthly life behind to join the elite military team Starforce on the Kree planet of Hala. Its members include Carol, Korath and Minn- Erva. In addition to that, Marvel in its statement revealed that Jude Law is the commander of Starforce, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, leader of the Skrulls and undercover as a human working for the S.H.I.E.L.D; Samuel L. Jackson, on the other hand, is a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Nick Fury; Djimon Hounsou is featured as Korath, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser;  Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, one of Carol's oldest friends.

The first female-lead movie under the Marvel banner is definitely the center of interest of the Marvel fans at the moment. Featured in Entertainment Weekly’s cover page, Carol is seen somewhere between the earth and the sky. The magazine reviews the first look saying that "it is a fitting place for a hero who’s trying to figure out how to reconcile her alien abilities with her more human flaws."

The film jointly scripted and helmed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck will tell the story of the part-Kree, part-human superhero, who returns to earth in search of her identity and gets stuck in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. 'Captain Marvel' is all set to hit the theatres on March 8, 2019.
