If this was any of the last seven years, we'd be preparing for the arrival of the latest season of Game of Thrones. Unfortunately. in 2018, the Night King appears to have invaded HBO on account of which the final season of the world phenomenon show has been pushed back till 2019.

However, as the cast and crew film what is set to be both the shortest (only 6 episodes) and biggest (each episode is said to be feature-length) season of Game of Thrones yet, Emilia Clarke, who plays Queen Daenerys Targaryen, has given fans a very teasy and frightening hint at what could be the fate of her character by the end of the show.

As per Vanity Fair, she said the following about Danaerys' final scene:

"It messed me up."

"Knowing that is going to be a lasting flavour in someone's mouth of what Daenerys is."

“I'm doing all this weird stuff,” Emilia added about her character in the final season. “You'll know what I mean when you see it.”

So what could that mean?

Last we saw, Dany and Jon were sailing to White Harbour from where they plan to ride together to Winterfell. As 'Ice and Fire' were getting intimate on the ship, with a suspicious Tyrion looking on, over in Winterfell, Bran Stark made a stunning revelation about Jon Snow's true heritage and name. Then, the White Walkers finally appeared before the Wall at Eastwatch-by-the-Sea and using the undead dragon Viserion, the Night King destroyed a massive section of the wall and broke its magic allowing the Army of the Dead to march on Westeros.

In another year, we'll know what Emilia Clarke, whose latest film Solo: A Star Wars Story released in India on Friday, meant by her remarks. Until then, it's back to binging for clues!
