Godzilla is one of the most famous monsters in Hollywood. After early 2000s versions became a runaway success, the film saw a reboot in 2014. This was followed by 'Kong: Skull Island' which was based in the same universe. At the end of the film, it was revealed that there are a lot more monsters in the world. Now, they have been revealed in the trailer of 'Godzilla: King of Monsters'.
The trailer shows humans around the world and their panic as these monsters or so-called titans have overtaken the Earth. Touted to be creatures that have been on the planet since time immemorial they are- Mothra, a giant moth, Rodan and of course Godzilla's arch-enemy, King Ghidorah, the three-headed dragon. The trailer shows leaders of the world coming together in a meeting as they figure out which of these monsters are on their side. As is clear from the previous film, it is Godzilla of course who is inclined to help the humans.
The fearsome titan than then be shown taking on the other three monsters in an ultimate battle for dominance over Earth. The visuals are consistent with other films from the franchise with dark lighting, chaotic environment and a sense of impending doom. Although the visuals can get a while to get used to, once acclimated, it is a spectacle to watch. The highlight of the trailer was right at the end though. It shows King Ghidorah spitting fire as Godzilla charges towards the monster. This climactic version of the monsterverse franchise is all set to release next year on May 22. This will be followed up with 'Godzilla vs Kong' which will release sometime in 2020. Take a look at the epic trailer here:
