The 'Game of Thrones' actor, Maisie Williams recently revealed about the negative impact the character, Arya Stark had on her body image as well as her self esteem. As reported by an international media, the popular ' Stark' character made her feel ashamed of her body. She started her acting career with HBO's widespread series, Game of Thrones at the age of 14 and was part of all the seasons till she was 22. But as she started to “mature” as the years followed, Arya made her insecure about her real-self.

Arya Stark, the character

While speaking to a fashion magazine, the 22-year-old actor disclosed that it around the second and third season that her body started to mature and she became a woman, however, to the contrary the character in the series, Arya was still disguised as a boy according to the storyline. Williams had short hair, and the crew constantly covered her in dirt and even shaded her nose in order to make it look more broad and manly. Moreover, reportedly she also revealed that they put a strap across her chest to flatten any growth that had started to meet the demands of the character. This further made feel “horrible” for six months of the year.

'Learned to love'

Eventually, Williams admitted that she has now learned to love her skin. Since the 47 times Emmy awarded HBO series, Game of Thrones came to an end on May 19, 2019, the actor has experimented with the new phase of style which makes her feel more feminine. The English actress feels “nice” to have a real waistline and embrace the body that she owns. The actor with a net worth of $6 million, has recently won the Saturn Award and Gold Derby TV Awards for Best Performance by a young actor in Television series and Best Drama Supporting Actress respectively.
