Happy Birthday Ryan Gosling: Five Films Of The Actor That Won Hearts Of The Viewers

Hollywood actor Ryan Gosling turned a year older on Monday, November 12. However, the actor is better known as Noah from 'The Notebook' as ever since the film, he became the most well-recognised celebrity of all times, and a heartthrob all over the world. Gosling has been a part of a number of acclaimed projects but his character as Noah will be etched in our memory, given the exceptional performance by him and the stupendous storyline of the film.  

But there is more to Gosling that just a part of Noah. And, so here are the top five films of the actor that won hearts of the viewers. 

1. The Believer: 

The actor made his debut with 'The Believer', which is an American drama loosely based on the true story of Dan Burros, an American Jew, who left American Nazi Party, only to join the United Klans of America. Eventually, he committed suicide, when a journalist revealed his heritage to the newspaper. Because of the controversial nature of the film, there was not much financial back up because of which the crew could not afford permits and the scenes had to be shot quickly.

2.The Notebook: 

The film is the third adaptation of Nicholas Spark's novel of the same name. In the film, Gosling plays the role of Noah Calhoun, who is a poor yet passionate young man who falls in love with a girl named Allie Hamilton, who is a rich young woman. The film received awards and nominations and was a massive hit.

3.Lars and the Real Girl 

The comedy-drama film by Craig Gillespie earned Ryan nominations in the Golden Globe Awards and Screen Actors Guild Awards. In the film, Gosling plays the role of an awkward young man who develops feelings for a life-size doll. Although it did not fare as well as expected, the cast and crew of the film were highly praised by the critics.

4. La La Land 

The film was critically acclaimed and was loved all over the world. This was the first time Gosling was trying his hand at a musical. The film also marks Ryan and Emma Stone's third film together. In the film, Ryan plays the role of a jazz pianist, while Stone plays the role of an aspiring actress.

5. Crazy, Stupid, Love

The film essentially revolves around Cal, who is heartbroken after his wife asks him for a divorce. In the film, Gosling plays the role of Cal's friend, who then ends up seeing Cal's eldest daughter ( Emma Stone) that creates a rift between Cal's relationship with Gosling.
