Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie's much-anticipated venture 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' finally gets a release date.

Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie's much-anticipated venture 'Maleficent: Mistress of Evil' gets a new release date. The film which was initially scheduled to release on May 29, 2020, will now release on October 18, 2019. 

On Wednesday, Walt Disney Studios announced that the news on social media and unveiled the poster of the film.  The fantasy adventure film looks promising from the very first sight. In the Instagram post, the production house wrote, "Angelina Jolie returns in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Coming to theatres October 18, 2019."

Maleficent is a kind-hearted fairy, who is deceived by the love of her life, Stefan. Soon, she places a curse on his daughter, Aurora, in order to avenge her thirst for justice.

In the upcoming fantasy adventure, Jolie will reprise her role as the villainous enchantress Maleficent. The cast of the film also includes Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville, who appeared in the first instalment, as well as franchise newcomers Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Harris Dickinson and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

People on the internet have already started reacting to the news and they seem to have got mixed feelings about the same. While some are super-excited to welcome the upcoming venture, other's are of the opinion that the first part wasn't that good enough as it portrayed the evil queen as a hero.
