Vertical Entertainment, the distributors of 'The Billionaire Boys Club' decided to go ahead with releasing the film despite several allegations of sexual assault on the actor. Reports suggest that Kevin Spacey starrer 'The Billionaire Boys Club' has earned a mere $126 which according to reports suggests that only 13 to 14 people turned up to watch the movie in cinema halls. The movie was released in 10 theatres across the United States of America.

As per reports, the film hit the screens on Friday, August 17 in 10 theatres across the country after it was available on VoD throughout the month of July. There have been several movies that have been released on VoD first and have then hit the screens, but the collections of the Kevin Spacey starrer seem to be lower than the rest.

Kevin has been the center of controversies throughout 2017. Kevin Spacey portrayed the character of Frank Underwood in the critically acclaimed television series 'House of Cards'. The actor was however replaced after he was involved in controversies of allegedly sexually assaulting several men. in November 2017, the Royal Victoria Hall, or the Old Vic as it is fondly called, reported that they had collected 20 testimonies which claimed that Spacey would grope and behave inappropriately with young me all the time. Out of these 20 testimonies, there were 3 people who had reportedly contacted the police when the incident took place.
