Kim Kardashian's Former Bodyguard Sued For Ignorance In Duty

American Supermodel and fashion influencer Kim Kardashian's insurance company sued her former bodyguard Pascal Duvier for his ignorance on duty. As per media reports, the insurance company, American International Group (AIG) filed a lawsuit on Wednesday, October 3, against Kim's former bodyguard Duvier and his company Protect Security, for 6.1 million US Dollars, stating that the company 'negligently, carelessly, and/or recklessly' performed their duties of protecting the star and the apartment where she stayed at while attending the Paris Fashion Week in 2016.

As per media reports, the insurance company that compensated the reality TV star after her Paris robbery, notably said that Kim, who was incidentally left alone in her room, somehow failed to address several security breaches, including distraught lock, a malfunctioning intercom and lack of CCTV surveillance in the building.

On October 2, 2016, Kim Kardashian was held at gunpoint and was robbed of around 10 million US Dollars in cash and jewellery. According to the statement given by the television star, five individuals, dressed as police officers, barged into the apartment where she was staying in Paris. They pointed a gun on her head and tied her up. Roping her hands and legs tight, they shut her mouth with a duct tape. They then placed her in the bathtub and escaped with the valuables. However, Kardashian, who allegedly begged for her life was physically unharmed. Later, she managed to free her hands when she screamed for help.

This incident reportedly had a grave mental effect on Kardashian. The TV star who was then shooting for her show 'Keeping up with the Kardashians' put the making on hold post the robbery. She also postponed a makeup demonstration in Dubai due to the incident.

However, Duvier is a well-known security personnel in the celebrity domain. Previously, he used to serve as a bodyguard to the Black Eyed Peas, apart from other members of Kim's family.
