Lady Gaga to play a murderer in Ridley Scott's next untitled film?

Lady Gaga is reportedly going to star in Ridley Scott’s next film which is about the murder of businessman and heir of Gucci fashion house Maurizio Gucci. According to a report of a media portal, Lady Gaga will be playing the role of Maurizio’s wife Patrizia Reggiani. Read on to know more details about Lady Gaga’s role in this film.

Lady Gaga next film to be with Ridley Scott?

Lady Gaga who was last seen Bradley Cooper’s Shallow is reportedly working on her next project with Ridley Scott. According to a report by a leading US media portal, Ridley Scott will be directing and producing a film about the murder of Italian fashion house heir and businessman Maurizio Gucci. Gucci was killed by a hitman in 1995. Later on his wife Patrizia Reggiani was convicted of arranging the hitman to kill her husband. According to the report, Lady Gaga is all set to play the role of Patrizia Reggiani in the film.

Ridley Scott is producing the project with his wife and actor Giannia Scott and Ridley might also be directing this film. According to the media portal’s report, the film has been in the pipeline for Ridley. When the details of the project first emerged Angelina Jolie was apparently approached for playing the role of Patrizia. Ridley Scott has previously directed films like Gladiator, The Martian, Blade Runner, Hannibal, Murder on the Orient Express and many others. Ridley Scott is also directing his project with Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Adam Driver titled The Last Duel. The Last Duel will be a period drama produced by Disney and Fox Studios.

It will be interesting to see this collaboration come to life since Lady Gaga's last film Shallow was critically acclaimed and loved by the audience and especially by her fans. Shallow which starred Lady Gaga and Bradley Copper and which was also directed by Cooper won an Oscar last year for Best Original Song for the film’s chartbuster duet of Gaga and Cooper, Shallow. Lady Gaga was also nominated for Best Actress at last year’s Oscars for her role in the same film.
