Matrix 4 - 'a very ambitious script,' says a returning Keanu Reeves

As audiences eagerly await Matrix 4, Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves revealed that he found the script "very ambitious" and is looking forward to returning as lead character Neo in the film. Warner Bros had announced in August a fourth Matrix movie is in the works with the original co-director Lana Wachowski as the director and co-writer. The script is being co-written by Aleksandar Hemon and David Mitchell.

'An ambitious script,' Keanu Reeves on Matrix 4

Speaking to a news publication about his upcoming his film, Keanu Reeves claimed the script is "very ambitious". Reeves's co-star Carrie-Ann Moss is reprising her role as Trinity. Matrix's three movies were huge hits, the first winning four Oscars. Reeves was attending a film screening with his sister & producer Karina Miller, of her new drama, Semper Fi. The Matrix franchise comprises films about a dystopian future, wherein artificial beings have taken over humanity. The humans are trapped under a simulated reality and are being used as an energy source by artificial beings. Reeves's other movies such as 'John Wick' have also performed highly at the box office. Recently, he has emerged as something of a pop culture phenomenon.

On the work front

Keanu Reeves has been serialised online as someone with a zen-like outlook towards life. Despite having a high-profile career, he has remained low-key in his personal as well as in professional life. His other famous films include John Wick, Speed, The Devil's Advocate, Constantine. Matrix 4 is possibly scheduled to release in 2022, with production beginning in early 2020.

Apart from acting, Reeves has also done stage acting, music, and directing. He wrote the text for a picture book, Ode to Happiness, illustrated by Alexandra Grant. He has also produced a documentary, Side by Side, and directed the martial arts film Man of Tai Chi.
