The Oceans series is back and its all girls cast totally rocks

When the Oceans series was announced for a reboot last year, fans of the original super cool heist series couldn’t control their excitement, but then when it was announced that the reboot would have an all girls cast featuring the biggest names, we couldn’t wait for it to release. 

And then the studios, earlier this year released a cast picture which teased us even more. And now, Warner Bros dropped the official trailer of the film and one thing is clear, we already need a sequel. 

The trailer starts off with Sandra Bullock who is clearly in jail and has just been granted parole. But as the saying goes, old habits die hard, she immediately plans a grand heist and forms a team to perfectly execute it, which forms the rest of the trailer. 

Sandra’s team consists of Cate Blanchett who plays a veteran who knows what she’s doing, Mindy Kaling plays the jewellery maker who is sick of living with her mother, pop queen Rihanna is the tech expert, Sarah Paulson plays the homemaker who clearly has a dark past, Helena Bonham Carter who plays a desperate homeless thief and Rapper Awkwafina, an expert in pickpocketing.

Their target? A necklace. Where is the necklace? On Anne Hathaway's neck! Yes, if the cast couldn’t get any better, it just did with Anne Hathaway wearing the target for the ocean’s team.  

The trailer is amazing and looks as uber cool as the previous ocean’s which featured George Clooney, Brad Pitt among others. The story, just like any other heist movie is slightly predictable, but it’s the plot twists that we are expecting and our guess is we won’t be disappointed. 

Oceans eight is set to release in summer 2018.
