As the world celebrated Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, November 22, Hollywood star Dwayne Johnson remembered the time 27 years back when he could not afford a Turkey on Thanksgiving. In a heartfelt social media post, the actor revealed that back in the time when they used to stay in Tampa, Florida, and his family didn't have money to buy a Turkey on Thanksgiving day and were wishing that some of their friends would invite them over. Although the actor says, remembering the incident is embarrassing for him, but he believes memories like those keeps him grounded and helps him live a better and more grateful life.

Sharing a picture of well-cooked Turkey, the actor wrote, "Word to the bird 🦃 and a weird thing I have to always keep close. This Thanksgiving was a unique one, in that it was the first time I’ve ever not been back home in the U.S. of A. But here in London, we still cooked and laid out a big, sweet spread to give our thanks and boundless gratitude for our loved ones. The weird thing - is every Thanksgiving I gotta take a moment to remember exactly 27 years ago on Thanksgiving while living in Tampa, Fl we were so piss broke, that we couldn’t even afford to buy a turkey, so we were praying someone would invite us over for Thanksgiving", read an excerpt from his caption

Meanwhile, on the work front, the 'Skyscraper' actor will be next seen in 'Fighting with My Family' and 'Fast and Furious' spin-off venture 'Hobbs & Shaw'. Both the films are scheduled to release in 2019. Moreover, the actor has also completed shooting for adventure film 'Jungle Cruise' which is all set for a 2020 release.
