'Satyameva Jayate' words etched on the national emblem of India that literally translates to 'truth alone triumphs' has inspired the nation and also Milap Milan Zaveri's film. It's a vigilante action thriller that depicts the story of Virendra Rathod aka Veer (played by John Abraham), an outlaw, who has taken an oath to eradicate corruption from the system. On the other hand, DCP Shivansh Rathod (played by Manoj Bajpayee) is hunting for him following all the murder charges filed against him. Both despite having similar ideologies are divided by law. The constant conflict of fair and unfair, loyalty-betrayal, relationships-responsibilities continues through-out the movie. Although, romance and love are not at the epicenter of the film, the chemistry shared by the John Abraham and Aisha Sharma definitely needs a mention.

The film that celebrates nationalism released on the occasion of India's 72nd Independence Day. The action-packed drama takes fight for honesty to a next level. With a strong stand against corruption, the film includes violent visuals of action scenes like burning people alive and stabbing. However, the patriotic zeal of the film will definitely grab your attention.

The film has an amazing storyline, but much of it is revealed in the trailer itself. However, the twists in the movie have saved it from being a predictable one. The back-to-back revelation of truths will not let the audience lose their interest at any point. Scripted by Zaveri himself the movie has catchy dialogues that add to the movie. Unlike most of the films, the songs in the movie were plotted quite efficiently.  Aisha Sharma, who made her Bollywood debut with the film held the stage firm as a newbie. Amruta Khanvilkar, who played the role of DCP Shivansh Rathod's wife was also seen portraying her role effortlessly. However, the actress who made an appearance in Alia Bhatt starrer 'Raazi' was not seen much in the film. The 'Mastizaade' director who promised an amazing piece of art definitely kept his word this time.

John Abraham, who was last seen in Abhishek Sharma's 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' based on the Pokhran nuclear test have already gathered a lot of fame citing his patriotic zeal. With 'Satyameva Jayate' the actor is again featured in a similar appearance as his character from 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran'. However, his acting did not reach the depth like it did in his previous film.

While John Abraham won hearts with his action, Bajpayee stole the show with his intense acting. The actor who is known for his commendable performance in 'Gangs of Wasseypur - Part 2', has set yet another record for himself by taking up the role of DCP Shivansh in the film.

The movie definitely has an emotional content but the conclusion seems to be a bit over-dramatic. The film produced by T-Series Films and Emmay Entertainment is a must watch.
