Anu Malik came up with a new single, in collaboration with rapper Parry G on Monday. However, singer Sona Mohapatra who had accused the musician of sexual assault slammed him for giving a statement that stated that he was out of work for 'no rhyme or reason'. Malik was removed from judging the reality show following allegations of sexual harassment. Quoting a tweet where the musician had given an interview saying, “I was suddenly out of work for no rhyme or reason”. Targeting it, she said, “Anu Malik, these were the reasons, rhyme you go figure.”She then went on to share pasted quotes from Shweta Pandit and others who had made sexual misconduct allegations against Anu Malik earlier this year.

One more ‘reason’ & the number of them is quite large Mr. Anu Malik. Do take note, producers of @superstarsinge @SonyLIV , your show hosting him is supposed to be aimed at kids between 2 & 15 yrs?— SONA (@sonamohapatra) July 31, 2019

In a series of tweets, the 42-year-old narrated the entire incident, alleging Anu Malik made sexual advances towards her. Not only did Sona recount the first she met Anu Malik, but also spoke about yet another alleged victim of his misconduct. "The first time I met Anu Malik was on Oct 2006 for the rehearsals of MTV Lycra style awards, he invited both Ram & me for lunch at the ITC Grand Maratha having worked with Ram as a youngster. Subsequently, Anu M used to call up randomly at strange hours, leave missed calls or once in a while when I picked up awkwardly, talk incessantly. I stopped taking his calls because I felt no need to tolerate this for the hope of singing a song for him. This was 2007-08.", read an excerpt from her post.
If day-to-day harassment, tales of power-play, ‘normalised’ by society & industry gives the courage to other women to tell their stories in which they were more vulnerable & hurt than me, I believe it’s worth all.
