Indian rapper Badshah has reportedly set a new record with his recently released music video 'Paagal'. As per media reports, the track featuring model Rose Romero alongside Badshah emerged as the 'most viewed' within 24 hours on YouTube. With over 75 million clicks on the day of its release, the music video has reportedly eclipsed the previous record set by Korean boy band BTS in April, and Taylor Swift's 'Me!'.

However, while normally YouTube praises artists for setting records like these, it has declined to credit the Sony Music artist. As per media reports, speculating the reason for the same, several people claimed the Bollywood rapper accumulated 'fake views' using bots and server farms. Later, another theory surfaced which said, Badshah and his representatives had purchased advertisements from Google and YouTube that embedded the video or directed fans to it in some other way.
However, this being a common practice among several pop stars around the world, this action of the Music video giant has been widely criticized by the Indian audience.
The ace musician who is known for his contribution to several Bollywood numbers is all set to make his acting debut in Sonakshi Sinha's upcoming film 'Khandaani Shafakhana'. The comedy-drama which reportedly aims to break taboos about sex and sexual disorders, also stars Varun Sharma, and Annu Kapoor in the lead. It is all set to hit the theaters on July 26, 2019.
