Eleven people have been confirmed as infected in South Korea, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention Korea said Friday.

The organizers of the High 1 Seoul Music Awards were Thursday handing out masks and spraying hand sanitizers on all fans entering the Gocheok Sky Dome, a baseball game venue in Seoul.

Many fans were wearing white masks while taking selfies with their tickets and sparkly neon merchandise.

Popular K-pop artists like Taeyeon and boyband NCT Dream cancelled their overseas concerts scheduled for February.

K-pop boyband Pentagon also cancelled their comeback show in South Korea, and will instead livestream it online.

Some entertainment venues in South Korea have installed infrared thermal cameras to screen fans, according to local media.

China has reported 9,692 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus 2019-nCoV, with a death toll of 213 as of Friday, and the World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a global emergency.

So far 9,800 people have been infected globally.

Most of the 213 deaths have been in central Hubei province, where illnesses from the new type of coronavirus were first detected.
