The 35th MTV Video music awards were held on August 20, 2018, at Radio City Music Hall, in New York, the USA. Vinny Guadagnino and DJ Pauly D, who are best known for their appearances in one of the popular reality shows of Hollywood, 'Jersey Shore', which aired on MTV, hosted the awards. Cuban singing sensation Camila Cabello stole the limelight of the show by becoming the winner of the most popular award 'Artist of the year'. Her Song 'Havana', which released in 2017 became one of the trending songs on YouTube and therefore won 'Video of the year'. Besides Camila, legendary pop singer Jennifer Lopez was honored with the lifetime achievement award which is titled 'Michael Jackson Vanguard Award'. Swedish musician and singer Avicii, who passed away on July 20, 2018, won an award in the category of best dance video, for 'Lonely Together'. American singer Ariana Grande set the stage on fire with her stellar performance in her new song 'God Is a Woman'.
