The world remembered late pop-legend Michael Jackson on the occasion of his 60th birth anniversary on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. The American vocalist who held the stage over a period of four decades emerged as one of the leading figures in pop culture and was said to have transformed the art. He was known not only a singer but also a dancer and a fashion icon. Jackson, who was popularly known as the 'King of Pop' was one of the pioneers to break the stereotypes of racial barriers. Michael Jackson marked his debut in the industry with his elder brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon as a member of the 'Jackson 5' in 1964. However, he diverted from the family band and started his own lineage in 1971 while at 'Motown Records'. He is known for his 'ahead of the time' music videos and they were the talk of the town at the time. In fact, the artist through his performances had popularised several out-of-the-way dance techniques, like the robot move and the moonwalk, which are still trending in the dance industry. These techniques have been associated with Jackson ever since he performed them. Moreover, his distinctive sound and style had influenced numerous artists from various music genres.
