New song ‘Bheege Bheege’ from the movie ‘Amavas’, starring Nargis Fakhri and Sachiin Joshi was released on Friday, but there was a goof-up. The makers credited Sunidhi Chauhan as the singer of the track and she was quick to clarify that it was not her voice.
Sunidhi took to Twitter to reply on the official announcement of the song to assert that it was not her voice.
Not just the Twitter post, even the title of the YouTube video and description of the video had credited Sunidhi Chauhan as the singer.
Sunidhi is almost a veteran in the music industry today with close to two decades of experience, and anyone who has a heard a few of her songs would know how much the real voice is miles apart from Sunidhi’s voice.
The song has been rendered by Ankit Tiwari, who is also the composer of the movie. Several listeners had also expressed their thoughts about it by wondering why Sunidhi’s voice doesn’t seem like hers and many felt her voice was sounding ‘fresh.’ Some were convinced that the voice wasn’t hers.
After almost a day since the video was published, the tweet was finally removed after Sunidhi brought it to the maker's notice. Even the title and description were edited later on.
The makers or Ankit are yet to react on the issue at the time of publishing the story.
Even the lead actors, Nargis and Sachiin had shared the video earlier by crediting Sunidhi, with the latter calling it his ‘personal favourite.’
'Amavas' is romantic-horror movie directed by Bhushan Patel, known for 'Ragini MMS 2', '1920: Evil Returns' and 'Alone' and it hits the theatres on February 1.
