Tamil actor Vijay who became a prominent name across the country after his latest release 'Sarkar' is on cloud nine. The actor's film gained national attention after the makers had a run with the state government over the film's content. Now, a month or so after all the ruckus has died down, Ilayathalapathy thought now was the right time to thank the media.
The actor organised a special thanksgiving meet for people of the press and all media personnel on December 20 at the Le Meridian hotel in Chennai. Before anyone starts wondering if there was any agenda or announcement behind this meetup, let us tell you that there are none. In fact, the actor was simply happy and wanted to interact and thank the media. It was also the perfect time with the festive occasion of Christmas and New Year coming near. Take a look at some moments from the meetup down below:
Earlier on there were talks that the actor organised this meeting to announce his political entry, seeing how many Kollywood stars have gone down that route. Given that his previous film Sarkar had so many political undertones, many felt that it was high time that Ilayathalapathy also entered the game. However, that was not the case as it has been proven. Moreover, this isn't something new for Vijay as he is well known to be a very humble and giving soul off the screen. His acts of philanthropy are well known with many of his fan clubs also participating in these good deeds.
On the professional front, the actor has already begun working on his next project which is tentatively titled as Thalapathy 63 at the moment. The project will also see him pairing up Nayanthara after a long time.
