‘And yes, she said yes’: Vishal announces engagement to Anisha Alla Reddy, marriage likely in August

Vishal is the ‘happiest’ as he announced on the occasion of Sankranti that he has got engaged to Anisha Alla Reddy. 

Anisha in a post on Instagram wrote that it is the ‘start of something new’. The actress continued by conveying her gratitude to all those who have been a part of her growth and what she is today. The actress added that she ‘yearns to live up to all of her dreams and goals and the challenges’ she has put up for herself as she begins her ‘new journey.’

She shared that she has ‘finally found somebody to go down the path of life with’ to ‘love him and life with true passion’ in the future. Anisha revealed that she always looked up to 'the man' for his decisions to stand up for various causes and ‘for all of his heart.’ She ‘vowed’ to ‘give back to him, the families and the people around’ as they take the next step in their life. She promised to be the best she can be as the couple looked up to a future of ‘collective learning, love and moral value.’ 

Later, Vishal also announced the news on Twitter to share how he was the ‘happy’, ‘too happy’, ‘happiest’ as Anisha ‘said yes’ to make it ‘confirmed’. The Tamil actor stated that it was his ‘next biggest transition in life’ and concluded the post by stating that he’d be announcing the dates soon.

Apart from a snap of the couple embracing while looking into the camera, he also shared a picture of his fiancee dressed in traditional wear looking up to the beautiful lights, which might be from the engagement. The ceremony reportedly took place in Chennai recently and was a family affair.    

While Vishal has been in the industry for almost 15 years and is known for movies like ‘Sandakozhi', ‘Thimiru', ‘Thaamirabharani' and ‘Malaikottai', ‘Pandiya Naadu' and ‘Naan Sigappu Manithan' apart from his work as an anti-piracy activist and President of the Tamil Nadu Film Producers’ Association, Anisha has worked in popular Telugu films like ‘Arjun Reddy’ and ‘Pelli Choopulu’. 

Vishal is also the General Secretary of Nadigar Sangam, an association of artistes in Tamil Nadu. He had previously stated he’d get married after the construction of the building of the body is complete. The actor reiterated the same in a recent interview and added that marriage might take place in August as the work on the building is ‘almost complete.’

He stated that the duo’s families met in Hyderabad, where Anisha is based in. Vishal’s parents, film producer G. K. Reddy and Janaki Devi and her parents, Hyderabad-based businessman Vijay Reddy and Padmaja finalised matters. Vishal clarified that speculation about it being an arranged marriage was not true as they have been in a relationship for ‘quite some time now.’
