Ashish Matta calls his 'Skulls & Roses' journey life-changing

'Skulls & Roses' contestant Ashish Matta, spoke to Republic Media Network and shared his experience being a part of the show. He said it was life-changing.

Amazon Prime Video's web reality show 'Skulls & Roses', which released on August 30, emerged as a fan-favorite in no time. Ashish Matta opens up about his journey in 'Skulls & Roses'

Recently, one of the show's contestants, Ashish Matta, spoke to Republic Media Network and shared his experience of being a part of the show. He said that 'Skulls & Roses' was 'once in a lifetime' experience for him and said that he made some amazing friends over there.

"It was very different from what I have done in life. It was a life-changing experience. I made some very good friends over there." Ashish Matta further opened up about his on and off-screen chemistry with his fellow contestants. He said, "With a few people it was very genuine. I am still friends with them, we meet up for coffee, go out on dinners. But obviously, it's not the same with everyone else."

Recalling his most difficult time in the show, Ashish Matta said, "The day I got eliminated was the most difficult for me. I didn't get a chance to do anything to make myself safe and was directly put into elimination pit. I thinks luck was not on my favour. It was a bad day."

Ashish Matta's talks about his shift from sports

Before kick-starting his acting career, Ashish Matta was a professional football player. He has been playing football for the last 16 years and even represented Delhi in the Football championships.

Talking about the career transition, he said, "Since my childhood, I was into sports, but back in my mind, I knew I wanted to an actor. During college, I was playing football professionally, but after that, I realised that I wanted to be an actor. I had that talent, potential and looks required for the same and decided to invest my full energy."

Ashish Matta further revealed how he prepared for his acting debut and opened up about the struggles as a beginner in the industry. 

"After completing my graduation I joined acting and theatre school and did plays for 5 months. After that, when I realized I am more comfortable with the camera, I  shifted to Mumbai. I started giving auditions every day. I met more than 20-30 people everyday and was doing my best for people to know me." he said.

"Slow and steady I was getting calls for the audition. Initially, it was not easy. It is still not. Every single day, you have to work to make yourself better. But I think it was all worth it. I believe one should always listen to their heart," he added.
