‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ turns 2: Prabhas pens emotional note in second Instagram post; Rana Daggubati, makers also post special messages

Not every film that releases manages to earn over Rs 1000 crore worldwide and be talked-about on such a large scale not just in the country but many places abroad. The phenomenon that is ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ completed two years of its release on Sunday, and the messages that the members of the cast posted said it all about what it meant to them. Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and the makers posted heartfelt notes on the occasion.

Prabhas, who played the titular character of Amarendra/Mahendra Baahubali, in only his second Instagram post and the first with a caption, wrote that April 28 will always be emotional for him while thanking director SS Rajamouli, his team and the fans for supporting the movie and making it so big. 

Rana, Prabhas’ on-screen brother-nemesis Bhallaladeva, also wrote the day changed his life and Indian cinema forever. 

Producer Shobu Yarlagadda and the official handles of the movie and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which distributed the Hindi version, also tweeted on the special day. They termed it as a movie an ‘epic saga’ that ‘redefined Indian cinema’, set ‘unbeatable records and supreme standards in Indian cinema’ while being ‘finest in the art & an unforgettable experience’ while thanking everyone who took the movie to ‘unimaginable heights!’ Here's what they posted:

‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ also starring Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj, Nasser, among others, earned close to Rs 500 crore in only the Hindi version in India, which is a record. The collections in other languages including the one in which it was shot, Telugu, and overseas collections, stands at over Rs 1000 crore.
