After the 'PM Narendra Modi' biopic, Eros Now's 'Modi' web-series based on the life of the Indian Prime Minister came under the radar of Election commission. The web-series which aired earlier this month has been temporarily banned by the Election Commission. It has issued a statement to the makers recently asking them to bring down the 5 episodes of 'Modi-Journey of a Common Man' that has aired already and is available in their platform. They have also directed to stop the online streaming and asked to remove all connected content of the series till further orders.

As reported by ANI, the statement read: "It was brought to our notice that a web series 'Modi-Journey of a Common Man', having 5 episodes is available on your platform. You're directed to stop forthwith the online streaming & remove all connected content of the series till further orders"

The project was a joint collaboration of Eros Now and Benchmark Pictures, who have produced a 10-part biopic web series on the life of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. It follows the journey of PM Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Chief Minister onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India. It covers all the highs and lows of the life of the country chief.

The series features the Indian Prime Minister's life in 3 phases. While actor Mahesh Thakur portrays the current PM, Ashish Sharma represents him in his youth and Faizal Khan brings on screen his boyhood days.

The project is helmed by filmmaker Umesh Shukla, who has previously directed critically acclaimed ventures like 'Oh My God' and '102 Not Out'. It is written by Mihir Bhuta and Radhika Anand, and each episode is about 30-45 minutes in duration.
