The epic comedy sitcom from the '90s recently completed 25 years since its release. All the six main characters and additional characters have made us laugh and cry for years now. From Chandler's wittiness to Phoebe’s craziness there is a lot of things FRIENDS has thought us. Here are life lessons from each of the friend’s characters anyone can learn.

Joey

Even when he was thrown off the show Days of our Lives, he did not give up on his dream of becoming an actor and worked to become a star that he always wished. He taught us to never give up no matter how difficult things seem. If you are happy with how you look then do not change. Another instance when Joey's wisdom benefited us is when he said we should not care about people's judgements and do things we feel is right for us.

Monica

Monica is known for being an obsessive cleaner. Monica has taught us many things in life, one of the most important ones being her idea of being organised. Perhaps that stemmed from the fact that Monica was fat-shamed almost all through her childhood. She went on to lose weight, become a lean, healthy and stunning woman that she was. Her obsessive nature may have been annoying for the rest of her friends, but her organisational skills were what made her one of New York's most famous chefs.

Ross

Ross, infamous for three divorces, teaches taught us how to keep it real. He was a successful palaeontologist who loses his job at the museum over a sandwich and then his temper over his sister falling in love with his best friend. Yet Ross does not fail in his life he takes a job as a professor in the university and also gets a tenure. In his personal life, Ross has faced one too many hurdles in finding the one. However, he does end up finding 'his lobster' in Rachel. This shows that he never gave up on finding love in his life.

Phoebe

Phoebe is the crazy one who had a rough childhood. Without having a fixed, defined career path, she not just survived the day, but also taught us how to be resilient like her. She believes so firmly in her talent, she does not care what people say. She did not get discouraged when she was replaced by another singer in the music video she was supposed to be in. She is hurt, yet she does not care and moves on with her life like a boss!

Chandler

Chandler, the king of sarcasm, always managed to make us laugh. He teaches everyone how to be yourself. He is stuck with a job of doing something with numbers for years before he does something he loves. And while his job remains one of the most puzzling things in the series (with Rachel and Monica losing their apartment in the quiz when they do not know his profession), Chandler happens to be quite an inspiration. He comparatively begins quite late in his life to pursue the job he is good at (advertising), but still ends up getting a job at an advertising agency and loving what he actually does.

Rachel

Though she was seen as a rich "brat" who left her fiance at the altar, she ends up following her dream and giving us all major career goals. She went from working as a waiter at the Central Perk to having a job at Ralph Lauren to getting a really high profile job in Paris. She showcased determination to climb up her career ladder. The things she goes through shows the world that if one woman is determined and dedicated to doing something she can move mountains.
