Get Rajinified: Thalaivar fans super excited after the latest update on Rajinikanth’s ‘Petta’

The moment that Rajinikanth fans were waiting for, has finally arrived. The makers of his upcoming movie ‘Petta’ have announced that the trailer will be unveiled on 28 December.

The news was enough for the fans of the Thalaivar to go berserk, immediately sending ‘Petta’ to the top of the Twitter trends. Not just ‘Petta’, even interesting terms like ‘Get Rajinified’ was mentioned in numerous tweets that got it trending.  

Some were sure that the movie will set the screens on fire, and many were excited about the year ending on a high note for the fans. They expected a ‘perfect finish’ courtesy the grand success of ‘2.0’ earlier this year. 

One of them went creative and interpreted how Rajinikanth and Simran’s first-time pairing would look on screen in a new poster.

Fans used terms like ‘Rajinism’ and ‘Rajinfying’ to talk about their expectations from the ‘Dark-raw-gritty-blood-gore-mass entertainer' and that it would be ‘full of Thalaivar style.’ One person was convinced that the movie will elevate Rajinikanth to a different league. 

The teaser release of the film on Rajinikanth’s birthday on December 12 had also seen a similar response on social media.

‘Petta,' directed by Karthik Subbaraj and produced by Sun Pictures, also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Trisha Krishnan, Vijay Sethupathi, among others and will hit the screens on Pongal next year in January.
