  • Jyotika explains the ten commandments for women in the first poster of 'Kaatrin Mozhi'
  • The film is a Tamil remake of 'Tumhari Sulu'

The makers of actress Jyotika’s next film ‘Kaatrin Mozhi’ have released the poster and first look of the movie. The movie is the remake of Bollywood movie ‘Tumhari Sulu’ starring Vidya Balan. On the occasion of Independence Day, the first look from the film was announced in which Jyotika is seen giving 10 commandments for women.

Taking to Twitter, actor Suriya (Jyotika's husband) shared the poster of the film, both in English and Tamil, and wrote, "When every day shoot is exciting and special...!! The film becomes immortal!! Can’t wait to watch Jo on this rollercoaster fun ride!! Dir #Radhamohan #Jyotika @vidaarth_actor @Dhananjayang @imkaashif #KaatrinMozhi #HappyIndependenceDay #KaatrinMozhiFirstLook Good luck!"

Tumhari Sulu was the story about a woman who was chasing her career dreams, while at the same time dealing with societal pressure who think that she should first take care of her family before herself. However, going by the first look poster of 'Kaatrin Mozhi', the film seems to be much more focused on the rights of woman, irrespective of whatever roles she plays in her personal life.

As per the poster, here are the ten commandments for women :

  1. Thou shall wear what you want
  2. Thou shall eat first if you want
  3. Thou shall not turn the other cheek if your husband hits you
  4. Thou shall do what you love
  5. Thou shall be fat if you want
  6. Thou shall ask your husband to share in household duties
  7. Thou shall earn, give and spend as you want
  8. Thou shall not say yes when you mean no
  9. Thou shall speak freely
  10. Thou shall know that all men and women are equal

Helmed by Radha Mohan, the film is produced by G Dhananjayan, and is slated to release in October. The film will also have Jyotika and the rest of the cast dancing to the hit Malayalam song 'Jimmiki Kammal', in place of 'Hawa Hawai' song in 'Tumhaeri Sulu'
