Keerthy Suresh's birthday: 2 films announced in a treat for her fans

As has become a norm on celebrity birthdays, a big announcement is always on the cards. And for Keerthy Suresh, there were not one, but two announcements to delight her fans. The actor is confirmed to star in a Nagesh Kukunoor movie and another named Penguin, backed by Karthik Subbaraj. The first looks/posters of both the ventures were shared as the National Award-winner turned 27.

In a teaser look from the Nagesh Kukunoor venture, a Telugu film, Keerthy is seen all smiles, dressed in a top, a dupatta, colourful skirt and hair tied in plaits. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the snap and wrote, “On her birthday today, Keerthy Suresh's look poster from Nagesh Kukunoor's #Telugu film [not titled yet], a sports-romedy... Costars Aadi Pinisetty and Jagapathi Babu... First look will be unveiled on #Diwali.”

 

A teaser poster of another film Penguin too was shared in which she is seen as a pregnant lady, and a silhouette of her baby bump is visible. 

She wrote, “Can’t wait for you all to watch it. Need all your love and blessings.” 

The movie is being presented by Petta fame Karthik Subbaraj, and is written-directed by Eashvar Karthic. 

“Wishing @KeerthyOfficial a very happy birthday and Happy to present to you all the Title poster of @StonebenchFilms next production..,” Subbaraj tweeted. 

The shooting of the movie had started in September this year.

Other films in kitty 

Apart from these films, Keerthy Suresh has multiple films in her kitty at the moment. She is currently shooting for the movie Miss India. Keerthy Suresh is also set to make her debut in Bollywood with Maidaan. The movie is a football-based story, where she is paired opposite Ajay Devgn. Maidaan is being produced by Boney Kapoor and the producer’s children Arjun Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor had welcomed Keerthy Suresh wholeheartedly to the venture. The film is being directed by Badhaai Ho fame Amit Sharma.She is reportedly set to feature in the Mohanlal-starrer Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham as well.

The actor, however, didn’t have any major releases this year, except for a cameo in the Nagarjuna-starrer Telugu film Manmadhudu 2.

Keerthy Suresh also made headlines for winning the National Award for Best Actor for her movie Mahanati, where she had portrayed the role of veteran actor Savitri.
