In a recent event attended by Malayalam actor Dulquer Salmaan, a 45-year-old man lost his life. The deceased man has been identified as a native from Pravachambalam in Thiruvananthapuram named Hari. As per reports, the actor had gone to Kollam, to inaugurate a mall. In the videos and pictures that have surfaced the internet after the event show that around thousands of fans have crowded around to just catch one glimpse of the actor. This was also the 'Karwaan' actor's first glimpse after the movie. Reportedly, while the man was trying to manage a glance of the most celebrated South Indian actors of all times, he suffered from a heart attack. Although many suggest that the incident happened because of a stampede that took place, however, the police officials have denied any allegations as such. Soon, after the man suffered from a heart attack, he was rushed to the hospital but he lost his life.

Due to the incident, the organizers of the event have been booked for not taking property security measures in order to manage the massive crowd. The police also confirmed that they have registered a case under IPC section 283, against the owner of the mall. The main reason the incident took place is because the MC Road was blocked for around two hours because of the event and the massive crowd.

The film 'Karwaan' was Dulquer Salmaan debut into the Bollywood World. Along with him, the film starred Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. The movie revolves around two people and a chirpy teenager who take a road trip from Bangalore to Kochi. Although there are many good reviews about the movie, it failed to open big at the box office. Despite proving to be a huge disappointment on its day 1 with Rs.1.50 crores, 'Karwaan' collected Rs.2.70 crores on Day 2 taking its two-day collection to Rs.4.20 crores. Another reason as to why the film did not do well at the box office is because it faced some tough competition with 'Fanney Khan' starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and 'Mulk' starring Rishi Kapoor and Taapsee Pannu. Both the films that released on the same day as 'Karwaan' could be a major reason to hamper the film's box office collection.
