'KGF' is the film that has turned out to be a silent killer this year. Well not quite, there was some hype on a pan India level when its trailer first came out. But ever since the actual film hit the screens, its collections and word of mouth publicity have been awe-inspiring. Not only has it become the highest grossing Kannada film of all time, but it also beat a film like Shah Rukh Khan's Zero a feat which can't be taken lightly. Now, after breezing past the hundred crore mark the sixth-day collections are here.
According to reports, the film's collections have dipped but it is acceptable since it is a weekday and it has already done so phenomenally well. The Hindi box office figures are still better than its Day 1 collections as it minted Rs 2.60 crore on Day 6, whereas on opening day it was Rs 2.10 crore. Meanwhile, the action flick is still the strongest in Kannada region where its total has amassed to Rs 68 crore whereas the total Hindi collections have hit Rs 19.05 crore. With these impressive figures, 'KGF' has emerged as the fourth highest Hindi dubbed film in India after 'Baahubali 2', '2.0' and 'Baahubali'. These improved collections compared to the opening day is also in part due to an increase in the number of shows and screen count after seeing the phenomenal reception on December 21st.
With these amazing stats, the total worldwide collections have hit a whopping Rs 112.95 crore on Day 6. At this rate, the Yash starrer is easily expected to cross Rs 150 crore within another week's time and can well aim for Rs 200 crore before it runs out of cinema halls.
