Yash starrer 'KGF' had a lot riding on its shoulders as it directly clashed with Shah Rukh Khan's massive 'Zero'. However, ever since Friday, the tables seemed to have turned as the South Indian flick is giving tough competition to the Bollywood juggernaut. After seeing a steady rise in box office figures during the first two days, the numbers for day 3 have come out it is just getting better and better for the Prashant Neel directorial.
According to reports, the film saw massive jump on Sunday as it earned Rs 22.4 crore in all five versions of the film. The Hindi version itself saw almost two hundred per cent leap when compared to the opening day as it minted Rs 4.1 crore on Sunday, which is phenomenal for a primarily regional film. What's more, the film had already Rs 18.1 crore and Rs 19.2 crore respectively on the first and second days. Now, taking into consideration the latest figures, the total India wide collection has jumped up to Rs 59.7 crore.
In overseas too, the Yash starrer has been having nothing short of a dream run. After becoming the fastest Kannada film to cross USD 2,00,000 at the US box office, it has now become the fastest Kannada film to cross USD 3,00,000, a feat which is achieved in a single day. This roughly translates to Rs 2.9 crore from the overseas market which bumps the worldwide total to Rs 62.6 crore worldwide. At this brilliant pace, the film will easily cross the Rs 100 crore mark within a week's time which will be a new milestone for Sandalwood.
