Yash starrer 'KGF' has already become the highest grossing film in the Kannada film industry. The Prashant Neel directorial had long ago breezed past Rs 100 crore in terms of worldwide collections. Now, after running for almost two weeks across cinema halls, the action film has hit another milestone to mark the occasion of the New Year.

According to reports, 'KGF' has now crossed the Rs 150 crore mark in terms of worldwide collections. Its total stands at an impressive Rs 154 crore in just twelve days. But what's even more surprising is that the Kannada version itself has recorded an Earth-shattering Rs 90.5 crore in box office collections, a feat never pulled off by Sandalwood films.

Not only are regional centres super strong, but the Hindi version too is holding on really well, in spite of Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba' eating away most of the screens. In fact, the film saw a jump on Tuesday and earned Rs 2.25 crore in a single day. With these figures, KGF's Hindi version's total stands at Rs 30.45, which is incredible for a dubbed film in the first place.

Overall, this monster hit unleashed by the Kannada film industry is showing no signs of slowing down and at this rate, crossing Rs 200 crore mark before the movie runs out of theatres is not a tall order. The credit for the film's phenomenal success goes to strong word of mouth which has ensured that the film took off after an average opening day.
