Just three days ago, South Indian sensation Dhanush revealed the first look of his next film. Titled as 'Maari 2', the poster was very well received for it seemed to have retained a lot from the original film. Now, the makers have unveiled the second poster of the film right on the eve of Diwali and it seems that just like the previous one, this one is also packed with fireworks. The poster the actor as the local tough guy Maari as he sitting in a chair. In front of him, there are four men holding guns which are trained at him. Also, the wall behind him is riddled with bullet holes. But in spite of so many guns, Maari seems unfazed as he still retains his unique swagger.
'Maari 2' is directed by Balaji Mohan, who also helmed the original. However, there has been a bit of a change in the supporting cast. Kajal Aggarwal has been replaced by Sai Pallavi, whereas Tovino Thomas, Krishna Kulasekaran, Vidya Pradeep and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar are new additions. But there has also been some retentions in the cast in the form of Robo Shankar and Kalloori Vinoth, who play Maari's faithful sidekicks and will act as comic relief in the sequel. The film marks the second collaboration between Dhanush and Balaji Mohan.
'Maari' which had come out in 2015, had become a blockbuster hit as the talented Dhanush carried the film on his shoulders. The film was particularly appreciated for its comedy scenes and hence more of the same is expected from the sequel. Other than this, he had also expressed his excitement for the trailer of SRK's upcoming movie 'Zero'
