Renowned Tollywood director Kodi Ramakrishna passes away

Renowned Tollywood director Kodi Ramakrishna passed away on February 22, due to ill health. Kodi Ramakrishna has born in Palakollu Village of West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh and started his career as a director in Tollywood with the film 'Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya.'

Renowned Tollywood director Kodi Ramakrishna passed away on February 22, due to ill health. Kodi Ramakrishna has born in Palakollu Village of West Godavari, Andhra Pradesh and started his career as a director in Tollywood with the film 'Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya.'

Ramakrishna directed over a hundred films including 'Ammoru, 'Ankusam', ' Shatruvu,' 'Arundhati', 'Nagarahavu', 'Aahuti' among others. He also recieved many awards for his films. Known as a master in directing horror films, his last Telugu film was 'Avataram' which released in 2014.

Ramakrishna was suffering from ill health since last few days and was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Hyderabad. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment.

Several Tollywood personalities took to Twitter to mourn over the loss of the director. 

''We lost a pioneer. A visionary filmmaker who discovered the potentiality for VFX films on Telugu Screen. #Ammoru & #Arundhati are my personal favourites. #KodiRamakrishna Garu will be missed. My deepest condolences. May his soul rest in peace.
